How to: Create a view (filter)

This guide will show you how to create a custom view that allows you to save filters and quickly locate the vehicles you need to manage.

Updated over a week ago

Filtering is extremely helpful for reducing the number of vehicles displayed in your vehicle table, allowing you to focus only on those you manage as a fleet manager. When a vehicle is no longer part of your fleet, simply set its owner to “Inventory”, and it will automatically disappear from your Active Fleet view. Many users set this as their default view, as it significantly speeds up vehicle searches.

Using Statuses and Building Your Filter

You can also use statuses to be even more precise about what is currently happening with the vehicles in your fleet.

To create a filter:

  1. First, display the “All” filter.

  2. Then, add a new filter.

  3. After selecting the filter type, define the filter parameters.

  4. If needed, add additional filters to refine your results even further.

  5. Once you’re satisfied with your selection, save and name your filter— and you’re all set.

These customized views make it easier to monitor exactly what’s happening with your fleet at any given moment. They are also tied to your user. If you change user, the views won't be the same as in your own user.

Once your view is created, you can use it as a predefined downloadable report.
