The new Contactless Payment Request feature offers a seamless and secure way for your customers to provide their payment details using the Stripe Customer Portal. This feature is optional and designed to complement manual payment capture, offering flexibility based on your business needs.

How to Enable Contactless Payment Request

  1. Navigate to Settings: Go to your Settings and select the Payments section.

  2. Enable the Feature: In the Payment Details section, toggle "Contactless Payment Details Enabled" to activate the feature.

  3. Optional Manual Entry: If you wish to allow manual entry of payment details as well, toggle that option on.

  4. Save Your Changes: Click Save to confirm and activate your settings.


How Does It Work?

  1. Request Payment: When creating an agreement, click the "Request Payment Details" button.

  2. Communication preference: Select the preferred method of communication and click "Send Now".

  3. Instant SMS: Your customer will immediately receive an SMS containing a secure link to enter their payment information.

  4. Customer Input: The customer enters their payment details on the provided form.

  5. Automatic Saving: The new payment method is automatically saved on the agreement for immediate and future use.
